MONTREAL – Karlyn Shea had a very respectable showing at the Elite 8 judo competition over the weekend.
Shea, who trains out of the Lennox Island Judo Club, was part of Team P.E.I. that competed in Montreal.
Shea finished fourth in what was described as “one of the toughest divisions of the day.” Shea recorded one victory, and was very competitive in her other three matches.
George Madumba, Sebastian Nash and Ellen Gillis of the Summerside Toshidokan Judo Club, and Mike Perry of Charlottetown’s Rikidokan Judo and Martial Arts, also represented P.E.I.
