Ross, Sear take home weekly UPEI award

Soccer’s Lucas Ross and field hockey’s Sarah Sear are the UPEI Panther Subway athletes of the week for the week ending Oct. 22.

Ross, a third-year midfielder on the men’s soccer team, had a solid game in last weekend’s 0-0 tie with Memorial.

The bachelor of science student from Vernon, B.C., and the Panthers finish the regular season this weekend with road games against Acadia and Dalhousie.

Sear, a third-year forward on the field hockey team, helped the Panthers reach the Atlantic University Field Hockey final versus Dalhousie, where UPEI lost 1-0. UPEI defeated UNB 3–0, St. FX 6-0 and Saint Mary’s 2-1 in an overtime shootout to reach the title game. Sear was selected to the AUFH League all-star team

Sear is a bachelor of science student from Charlottetown.
