Playoff decides St. Felix club champion

ST. FELIX

Mark Phillips is the St. Felix Golf Club’s 2018 Club Champion. Playing in “A” Division, Phillips snatched the title from Junior Division champion William Dorgan in a one-hole playoff after the two completed the 18 holes of play tied at 73.

Lynn Dorgan is the club’s 2018 women’s champion after completing play with an 80.

Sunday’s championship event attracted 39 members including four in the women’s and four in the junior divisions. The club had 169 members this year, a 10 per cent increase from 2017.

Victor Hogan won “B” division after carding an 81 from two trips around the nine-hole course. John MacArthur fired a 98 to capture “C” Division.
