BRIDGEWATER, N.S. – It was a big night for Coleton Perry of North Bedeque on Friday.
The rookie forward with the Campbellton Tigers scored two goals, including the winner, and was selected the game’s second star, in a 3-0 road win over the South Shore Lumberjacks.
The MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) contest was scoreless until Perry opened the scoring at 3:17 of the third period. The product of the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild major midget program made it 2-0 at 9:12, and the Tigers sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 19:55.
In 40 regular-season games with the Tigers, Perry has six goals and eight assists for 14 points.
