P.E.I. F.C. sweeps weekend games in under-17 girls' action

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – P.E.I. F.C.’s under-17 girls team swept a pair of weekend games from United DFC in Nova Scotia Soccer League play at UPEI.

Samantha MacEachern got the clean sheet Sunday as P.E.I. F.C. won 2-0. Caitlyn McCloskey and Hailie Cormier scored on each side of the break to improve P.E.I.’s record to 2-2 on the season.

On Saturday, P.E.I. F.C. took a 2-0 lead into the break on goals by Nicole Doncaster and Braylan MacEachern.

Cormier and Robyn Pike had second-half goals.

The under-15 boys’ and girls’ as well as the under-17 boys’ teams had the weekend off. The under-15 girls are back in action next weekend when they host Halifax Dunbrack for games on Saturday and Sunday.
