Ready, Wilting earn victory at Canada Games

WINNIPEG, MAN. – Team P.E.I. earned its first win at the Canada Games women’s beach volleyball competition Monday in Winnipeg.

Laura Ready and Haley Wilting defeated New Brunswick 2-1 (9-21, 22-20, 15-8) to improve to 1-2.

They play Manitoba today at 5 p.m. Atlantic.

On the men’s side, Nova Scotia defeated P.E.I. 2-0 (21-14, 21-5). P.E.I. (0-3) plays Quebec today at 4 p.m. Atlantic.
