Hurricanes, Storm partner for Basketball Day in P.E.I.

Three hoops teams to play at Eastlink Cente on Feb. 3

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Hurricanes and the Island Storm will host Basketball Day in P.E.I., on Saturday, Feb. 3, featuring collegiate and professional basketball action at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown.

First in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) play, the Hurricanes women’s team host Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) Mystics at 1:30 p.m., followed by the ‘Canes facing MSVU in men’s action at 3:30 p.m.

The men’s team is ranked sixth in the country, while the women’s squad is ranked 11th.

That’s before the Island Storm and the Halifax Hurricanes tangle in a National Basketball League of Canada matchup at 7 p.m. to cap the day.

Admission is free to the Hurricanes’ games to those with a Storm ticket.

Seating for the Hurricanes’ games will be general admission. Regardless of the ticket for the Storm game, fans can sit in courtside or in VIP areas for the Hurricanes’ games.
