Express outscores Storm in fourth quarter for win

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Windsor Express finished strong to defeat the Island Storm 125-116 Saturday in National Basketball League of Canada action at the Eastlink Centre.

The Storm held quarter leads of 30-24, 70-68 and 98-93, but was outscored 32-18 in the final 12 minutes.

Chad Frazier had a game-high 26 points for the Express while Logan Stutz had 24 and Braylon Rayson chipped in 23. Shaquille Keith had 12 points and 11 rebounds while Frazier and Stutz each hauled in 10 boards and Maurice Jones scored 16 and had 10 assists.

Chris Johnson led the Storm with 20 points while Franklin Session had 17 and Du’Vaughn Maxwell 16. Tyler Scott had 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting from behind the arc.

The Storm missed 10 of its 22 free throws in front of a crowd of 1,748.

Windsor improved to 6-8 while the Storm dropped its second game to fall to 8-6.

The Storm travels to Sydney, N.S., on Friday to play the Cape Breton Highlanders.
