CRAPAUD – Southside Lynx defenceman Jarrett Mulligan picked an opportune time to score his first goal of the 2017-18 Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League regular season.
Mulligan’s goal with 16 seconds left in the second period gave the Lynx a 3-1 lead, and the Crapaud-based Southside squad would go on to edge the Summerside Cover-All Crunch 3-2 on Saturday night.
The Crunch, who lost 4-3 to the Georgetown Eagles on Friday night, has dropped four straight one-goal decisions.

At the South Shore Actiplex, Tyson Beckingham and Chandler Dawson also lit the lamp for the host Lynx, who is 5-3-0 (won-lost-overtime losses). Rourke Perry, Ryan Beckingham and Riley Payne contributed assists.
Tanner Jamieson and Remi Arsenault answered for the Crunch (2-5-1). Skyler Phillips and James Birt added single helpers.
The Lynx held period leads of 2-0 and 3-1.
Koby Bridges earned the goaltending win. Isaac Stavert was between the pipes for the Crunch.

Eagles 4 Crunch 3
At The Plex in Slemon Park, Austin Sorrie’s goal with 8:38 remaining in the third period capped come-from-behind win for the Eagles, who overcame 2-0 and 3-1 deficits.
Morgan McAree, Dawson McCarthy and Ryan Osborne netted the other goals for the Eagles (1-5-1). Assists were credited to Hayden Somers (2), Derian Johnson, Dalton Kemp, Spencer Arsenault and Jarrett King.
Matt MacKinnon (1-1), Birt and Parker Harvey accounted for Summerside’s scoring. Connor Curran chipped in with one assist.
The first period ended in a 2-2 tie, and the Crunch took a 3-2 advantage into the final 20 minutes.
Lucas Cann recorded the goaltending win, and Connor Gallant tended goal for Summerside.
