CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Cross-country runners Emma Moore and Nick Robertson are the UPEI Panther Subway athletes of the week.
Moore, a fourth-year science major from Charlottetown, finished 20th of 68 runners in the five-kilometre race at the inaugural UPEI Cross-Country Invitational meet at Victoria Park.
“Emma had a great summer of training, and she had her best finish ever as a Panther,” said coach Colin MacAdam.
Robertson, a first-year science student from Charlottetown, kicked off his university sport career this weekend with a 13th-place finish out of 57 runners at the UPEI invitational meet.
“We expected Nick to be an impact athlete for our program, and he certainly showed that he has the ability to run with the elite runners in the AUS,” said MacAdam.
