ALBERTON – The Summerside Capitals built a 3-0 lead en route to a 3-2 victory over the Western Regals.
The P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League teams met at the Jacques Cartier Arena on Saturday night.
Blake Gallant scored twice and Connor Hennessey added a single goal as Summerside improved to 2-1-0 (won-lost-tied). Ben Thompson added an assist.
Kalim DesRoches and James Doyle answered for the Alberton-based Regals (1-3-0). Chandler DesRoches added an assist.
The Caps held period leads of 2-0 and 3-1.
Winning goaltender was Carter Champion, and Cole Gallant tended goal for Western.
