CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The Sherwood Metros scored four times in the first period and put away the Georgetown Eagles 9-1 in Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League action Monday at Cody Banks Arena.

Jake Arsenault (2-2), Owen Arsenault (2-2) and Brechan MacLean (2-1) provided the bulk of the offence for the Metros, while Logan Toole (1-1), Brandon Sullivan and Ridge Crane chipped in the other goals.

Tanner Power (3), Brian Leslie (2) and Riley Cheverie (2) each had multiple assist games.

Sherwood outshot Georgetown 37-23, including 20-8 in the first period. The Metros led 4-0 after the first period and 7-1 at the second intermission.

The Metros went 1-for-5 on the power play, while Georgetown was 0-for-6 with the extra man.

Hayden Somers netted the lone Eagles goal. Riley Lavandier tallied the assist.

James Duffy earned the goaltending win over Lucas Cann.
