KENSINGTON – The O’Leary Maroons registered a win and tie in recent P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League play.
The Maroons defeated the Gulf Storm 3-1, and skated to a 5-5 draw with the Kings County Kings.

At Credit Union Centre in Kensington, previously Community Gardens, Tanner Gallant (2) and Shawn MacDonald scored for the Maroons. Morgan MacLeod, Austin Banks, Reece Arsenault and Remington Jones added helpers.
Caelen Campbell, assisted by Josh Coulson and Patrick Wyand, netted the lone Gulf Storm tally.
Overall, the Maroons held a 40-35 shots-on-goal advantage. McGuire Gallant earned the goaltending win, and Cameron Ralph was between the pipes for the Gulf Storm.

Maroons 5 Kings 5
At the O’Leary Community Sports Centre, Morgan MacLeod (1-1) netted the tying goal with 4:37 remaining in the third period.
MacDonald, Banks, Darcy Sherren and Brady Sweet also dented the twine for O’Leary. Ben Cooke (2) and Gallant added helpers.
Ryan MacDonald (2-2), Justin McCarthy (1-1), Rihley Mooney and Liam Laybolt replied for Kings County. Cam White and Cole Mosher contributed helpers.
The Maroons, who outshot the Kings 33-22, led 2-1 after the first period, and the teams were tied 3-3 after two.
Gallant tended goal for the Maroons while Cameron MacLennan was Kings County’s netminder.
