HALIFAX – Darren MacKinnon was the top Prince Edward Island driver in the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour’s Cummins 150 on Saturday.

MacKinnon, one of eight Island entries, finished sixth in the 25 car event, held at Scotia Speedworld. Cole Bucher of Porter’s Lake, N.S., was the race winner, followed by Dylan Blenkhorn of Truro, N.S., and Craig Slaunwhite of Terence Bay, N.S. Shawn Turple of Enfield, N.S., and Jarrett Butcher of Porter’s Lake rounded out the top five.
Other Island drivers were Kent Vincent of Crapaud, eighth; Greg Proud of Springvale, ninth; Jonathan Hicken of Brudenell, 10th; Dylan Gosbee of Cornwall, 11th; Chris Hughes of Brackley Beach, 14th; Terry Dougay of Albany, 17th, and Allison MacKinnon of Oyster Bed Bridge, 19th.
Proude won one of four Atlantic Tiltload heat races.
The tour will take a couple of weeks off before the next schedules race – Ron MacGillvray Chev, Buick, GMC 150 – takes place at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday, June 16.
