O’LEARY – Shawn MacDonald’s power-play goal with 6:34 left in the game lifted the O’Leary Maroons to a 4-3 win over the Central Attack in a P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League game here at the Community Sports Centre on Sunday.
Brady Sweet (1-1), Jaycob Sweet and Austin Arsenault also scored for O’Leary, which received assists from Darcy Sherren (2), Reece Arsenault, Jacob Gallant and Morgan MacLeod.
Kyle Kennedy scored all three goals for the Attack. Brad MacConnell added an assist.
The Attack led 3-1 after the first period, and the teams were tied 3-3 after two.
McGuire Gallant earned the goaltending win.
The Maroons were assessed five minor penalties while the Attack was whistled for two minors, two double minors and one 10-minute misconduct.
