CRAPAUD – One best-of-five semifinal series is set in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League.
The Southside Lynx defeated the Georgetown Eagles 8-2 on Friday and 9-2 on Saturday in a pair of fight-filled contests to sweep the best-of-five quarter-final series 3-0. Third-place Southside will now meet the second-place Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces in one semifinal, and the other will pair the first-place Sherwood-Parkdale Metros against the winner of the North River Flames and Summerside Crunch series.
North River doubled the Crunch 4-2 on Saturday night to take a 2-1 lead, with Game 4 at The Plex in Slemon Park on Monday at 8:15 p.m.

Flames 4 Crunch 2
At the APM Centre in Cornwall, the Flames led 2-0 after one period, and 2-1 at the end of 40 minutes.
Blake Gallant (1-1), Connor Andrews, Spencer Beaton and Keirsten Steele, who sealed the win with an empty-net goal, scored for the Flames.
James Birt and Brandon Arsenault answered for the Crunch.
Sumner Docherty stopped 23 of 25 shots in recording the goaltending win. Crunch goaltender Connor Gallant turned aside 24 of 27 shots he faced.

Lynx 9 Eagles 2
At the South Shore Actiplex in Crapaud, Conner McAulay (2-2), Jarrett Mulligan (1-1), Frank Watts (1-1), Drew Grady (1-1), Tyson Beckingham (1-1), Brady VanderVelden (1-1), Alec MacKinnon and Riley Payne contributed goals for the host Lynx.
Spencer Arsenault (1-1) and Dawson McCarthy replied for Georgetown.
Period scores were 5-1 and 8-2.
Winning goaltender Caelan Ferguson made 21 saves. Overall, the Lynx outshot the Eagles 38-23.

At the Three Rivers Sportsplex in Georgetown, the Lynx built period advantages of 2-1 and 5-2.
Ryan Beckingham (2-1), Jarrett Mulligan (1-1), Rhys Caseley (1-1), Drew Grady (1-1), Nick VanderVelden (1-1), Brady VanderVelden (1-1) and Morgan Darbyson accounted for Southside’s goals.
Ben Doucette and Ryan Osborne countered for the Eagles.
Ferguson stopped 25 shots in earning the win while Southside directed 48 at the Georgetown goal.
