Murray, Gallant spark
Summerside midget team
SUMMERSIDE –
Cameron Murray and Tyler Gallant sparked the Summerside Chevys to an 11-2 win over the Sherwood-Parkdale Knights in a recent P.E.I. Midget A Baseball League game at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Legends Field recently.
Murray struck out eight over 6 2/3 innings in earning the pitching win, and Gallant posted a 2-for-3 batting summary, including a run scored and one run batted in.
Other top batters for the Chevys were Parker Gallant (1-2, triple, run scored, RBI), who recorded the final out, and Murray (1-3, double, run scored, RBI).
For the Knights, losing pitcher Ethan Murphy (1-2) and Colin Blanchard (1-3) were tops at the dish.

Doyle, White swing hot
bats in Islanders’ win
CORNWALL –
Cameron Doyle and Will White had big nights at the plate to lead the Capital District Islanders to an 8-3 decision over the Mid-Isle Mustangs in a P.E.I. Peewee AAA Baseball League game at the Terry Fox Centre on Tuesday evening.
Doyle, who also had two doubles, and White each batted 3-for-4 while Will White earned the pitching victory.
Grayson Laporte (2-2, two doubles) and Christian Irwin (1-3, double) led the Mustangs at the plate.
Jake MacEwen was tagged with the pitching loss.

Mosquito AA Chevys post
home-field victory
SUMMERSIDE –
A strong pitching performance from Max DesRoche led the Summerside Chevys to a 14-4 victory over the Cornwall Cougars recently.
DesRoche threw three shutout innings in the P.E.I. Mosquito AA Baseball League game, played at Queen Elizabeth Park’s Very Important Volunteer Field in Summerside. Landon Laughlin closed out the win.
Offensively, Karli Snow (3-3), Cohen Woods (2-3) and Kalen Bernard (2-3) led the Chevys.
Game stats for Cornwall were unavailable.

Shaw nets
deciding tally
SUMMERSIDE –
Emma Shaw scored the deciding goal for the Summerside United on Tuesday night.
Shaw’s second-half tally gave the United a 1-0 victory over visiting Eliot River Team Two in a Subway P.E.I. Under-15 Girls Soccer League (First Division) game at Eric Johnston Field.
Heleena Luddington had a perfect night in goal for the United.

Bernard’s two-goal
sparks United
SUMMERSIDE –
Sydney Bernard scored two goals to lead the host Summerside United to a 3-0 victory over the Winsloe/Charlottetown Royals in a Subway P.E.I. Under-13 Girls Soccer League (Second Division) game recently.
Sarah Birch also scored for the United while Heleena Luddington earned the shutout.

Kensington, Winsloe
play to draw
WINSLOE –
Kensington and Winsloe Blue and White played to a 2-2 draw in a Subway P.E.I. Under-13 Boys Soccer League (First Division) game at the Winsloe Soccer Complex recently.
Karim Itani and Ziyad Salman scored for Winsloe. Rodney Robinson and Munro Boutilier countered for Kensington.
The teams were tied 1-1 at halftime.
