KENSINGTON – The Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers will host arch-rival Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings on Sunday.
The Island Junior Hockey League contest, which will be played at Credit Union Centre in Kensington, previously Community Gardens, will get underway at 7 p.m.
The Vipers come in still in a battle with the Sherwood-Parkdale A&S Scrap Metal Metros for second place and home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The Metros, who are 17-15-1 (won-lost-overtime losses), currently hold a five-point lead over the third-place Vipers (13-15-4).
A win versus the first-place Red Wings (19-8-2) is important if the Vipers want to catch the Metros.
