O’LEARY – Reace Willis scored the game-winning goal for the Central Attack on Wednesday night.
Willis connected for a power-play marker with 5:06 left in the third period to help send the visitors to a 4-2 decision over the O’Leary Maroons in a P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League game at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre.
Jack Arsenault (1-1) sealed the victory with an empty-net goal. Kyle Connell (1-1) and Owen Matheson also scored for the Charlottetown-based Attack.
Darcy Sherren and Ben Cooke replied for the Maroons. Shawn MacDonald and Morgan MacLeod drew helpers.
The game was scoreless after one period, and tied 1-1 after two.
Logan Fitzpatrick picked up the goaltending win, and McGuire Gallant tended goal for the Maroons, who outshot the Attack 30-28.
Each team was assessed six minor penalties and one double minor.
