CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Jason Gallant scored twice and added an assist Wednesday as the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings defeated the A&S Scrap Metal Metros 7-3 in Island Junior Hockey League.

Alex Morrissey, Isaac Knox, Dawson McCormack, Curklan Fraser and Abel Arsenault each added singles in the win.

Knox added three assists while Calvin McRae, Chasse Gallant and Cole Hackett each added a pair. Singles went to Morrissey, McCormack, Fraser and Silas Handrahan.

Dylan MacDonald, Taylor Runighan and Ryan Boswall replied with the Metros goals. Cale Pierce, Tanner Lund and Connor Gray added assists.

Bronson Banks made 27 saves for the win while Sam Walsh stopped 23 shots in the loss.

Western had period leads of 3-1 and 6-2.

Western improved to 6-5-2 while the first-place Metros are 8-6-1.
