SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals have addressed their goaltending situation.
With the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) team carrying three goaltenders, the Capitals traded Brayden Lachance to Rayside-Balfour of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League on Wednesday in exchange for future considerations.
In three games with the Caps, Lachance posted a 1-1 (won-lost) record, a 3.41 goals-against average and .900 save percentage.
The acquisition of Dominik Tmej (2-1, 1.14 GAA, .960 save percentage) on Nov. 15 left the Caps with three goaltenders, including Rett Rook (3-4-1, 4.47 GAA, .860 save percentage).
The Caps acquired Lachance from the Cobourg Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League on Oct. 24.
