SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals will look to bounce back against the Campbellton Tigers on Saturday.

The Capitals, who dropped a 3-2 decision before 1,045 fans at Eastlink Arena on Thursday night, travel to northern New Brunswick for Game 2 of the best-of-seven Eastlink North Division semifinal series in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League). Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Caps will be looking for their first win of the 2017-18 season on the Olympic-sized ice surface at the Campbellton Memorial Civic Centre after dropping three regular-season road games versus the Tigers.
“It’s a very important game up there,” Caps head coach Billy McGuigan told the Journal Pioneer after Game 1. “It’s been tough up there for us all season. We have to find a way to win in their building now.”

When asked what adjustments he would like to see from his team in Game 2, McGuigan answered: “We have to be harder on pucks, and we have to win some battles.  . Once we do that, we will be OK.”
The Caps and Tigers will be back in Summerside for Game 3 at Eastlink Arena on Monday, also a 7 p.m. start.
