SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Bailey Webster of Kelvin Grove picked up two awards at the Saint John Sea Dogs awards dinner held Tuesday night.
The stay-at-home defenceman was presented with the Scotiabank Community Service Award and the Irving Oil Team Player Award.
The son of Jason and Tara Webster is in his final season with the Sea Dogs, and took over the team captaincy in early January.
In 64 regular-season games with the Sea Dogs this season, Webster has one goal, 10 assists, 11 points and 42 penalty minutes.
Webster has played the past four full seasons with the Sea Dogs, and appeared in seven games as an affiliate player during the 2013-14 season while playing with the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild of the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League. During this five-year run, Webster has worn the Sea Dogs uniform in 213 regular-season games and 32 playoff matchups.
