The Vipers will entertain the Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Metros in an important Island Junior Hockey League contest, which is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 p.m.
The defending-champion Vipers come in having lost their last two games, and sit three points behind the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings in the race for first place. The Vipers do hold two games-in-hand, meaning all games are important.

New faces
The Vipers will have a couple of new faces in the lineup on Friday as overage forward Spencer McAllister has rejoined the team, along with Brett Doiron, a 20-year-old defenceman. Doiron last played for the Woodstock Slammers in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League).
