Two Commandos suspended

SUMMERSIDE – It was not a good day for the Dieppe Commandos on Sunday.

Along with dropping a 5-1 home-ice decision to the Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals, Commandos forwards Nicholas Jessome and Liam Conrad were both handed three-game suspensions for penalties picked up in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) playoff game in Dieppe, N.B.
Jessome was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging Capitals goaltender Christofer Langlais at 2:28 of the second period, and Conrad was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for a blow to the head of Caps forward Morgan MacDonald, who did not return to the game.

In the first three post-season games, Jessome has one goal, and Conrad has one assist. Conrad was third in the team in regular-season scoring – 46 points in 46 games, including 21 goals – while Jessome had 29 points, including 16 goals, in 44 games.
Jessome and Conrad will not be eligible to return this series unless it goes to a Game 7.
