Successful trip to Summerside for Aces

SUMMERSIDE – It was a productive couple of days in Summerside for the St. Stephen Aces.

The Aces, who sit at 5-6-0-0 in the Eastlink North Division, won both games in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League) Showcase against Eastlink South Division opponents. The Aces blanked the Amherst Ramblers 2-0 on Tuesday, and doubled the Yarmouth Mariners 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon.
At Credit Union Place’s Ice Pad, Ryan MacDonald (1-1), Adam Crowe, Drew Nesbitt and Felix Gagnon scored for the Aces. Kyle Bergh and Brent Broaders replied for the Mariners (7-2-0-0).
Winning goaltender was Zach LeBlanc, and Thompson Phinney was in goal for Yarmouth.
