The Red Wings will entertain the Sherwood-Parkdale Metros at the Evangeline Recreation Centre. The opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m.
The Red Wings go into weekend play in a first-place tie with arch-rival Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers. The Red Wings are 11-6-1 (won-lost-overtime losses), and the Vipers, who host two games this weekend, are 11-5-1.
It’s also a big game for the third-place Metros (8-10-2), who are five points back of the Red Wings and Vipers.
Bronson Banks is expected to get the start for the Red Wings.
