Red Wings defeat Vipers 5-1 in IJHL contest

ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. – Jason Gallant, James Briand and Spencer Groom each had a goal and an assist to lead the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings to a 5-1 victory over the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers Tuesday.

Western Red Wings

Chasse Gallant, Parker MacRae and Robbie Fraser also scored in the Island Junior Hockey League win.

Pat Cummiskey had two assists while Dillon Wall, Evan Millman and Abel Arsenault added singles.

Nick Boucher from Jacob Stewart and Ryan Murray replied for Kensington.

Bronson Banks earned the win while Grant Grady took the loss before being replaced by Cameron Visser with 12 minutes to play.

Western had period leads of 3-1 and 4-1.

The Wings improve to 10-6-1 while the Vipers are 10-5-1. Kensington defeated Western 3-2 in overtime on Boxing Day.
