POWNAL, P.E.I. – The Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils scored early and often in a 12-1 drubbing of the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack Monday in P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League action in Pownal.
Dawson Palmer led the way for Pownal with a hat trick and three assists, while Keegan Mitchell (2-3), Nick Steele (2-2), Alex MacEachern (2-1), Sammy Docherty (1-2), Sam Valois (1-1) and Lucas Parsons netted the other Devils markers.
Emmett Lyons, from Teddy Robbins and Josh McKnight, had the Attack’s goal.
Pownal led 5-1 after the first period and 9-1 at the second intermission, and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Central was 0-for-3 with the extra man.
Logan Birt recorded the win over Matthew Halliwell.
