SUDBURY, ONT. – Seacow Pond native Brad Morrissey had a goal and an assist Friday as the Notre Dame Hounds complete a perfect round robin at the Telus Cup with a 5-1 victory over the Moncton Flyers.
The Hounds, from Wilcox, Sask., led 4-0 after the first period when they outshot the Flyers 17-1 at the six-team Canadian midget hockey championship. Island natives Devan Praught and Kevin White are on the Hounds coaching staff.
Morrissey, a five-foot-11, 186-pound forward, finished the round robin with eight points (two goals and six assists) in five games.
The semifinals are Saturday at 1 and 4:30 p.m. Atlantic with the championship slated for Sunday at 8 p.m.
