CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride battled back to earn a point Friday in New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island Major Midget Hockey League action.
Trailing 5-2, the host Pride scored three third period goals to force overtime before losing 6-5 to the Northern Moose at MacLauchlan Arena.
Danik Bosse had two goals and an assist to lead the Moose while Sebastien Hebert scored twice, including the game winner eight seconds into OT. Captain Frederick Castonguay and Alex Roy also tallied goals in the win.
Grant McAdam scored three times for the home side while Shaul Mitton had three helpers. Nick Reeves and Gage MacWilliams also scored. Drew Bowman and Seth Morris each had two helpers while Kennedy Gallant added one.
Isaak Pelletier made 41 saves for the win. Ben Parent recorded 16 saves in 18 shots in relief of Erik MacInnis, who stopped seven of 11 shots in 27:09.
The game was tied 1-1 after the first period.
The Moose improved to 6-10-3 while Charlottetown is 7-10-3. The Pride hosts the Saint John Vito’s Saturday at 7 p.m. before playing the Kesington Monaghan Farms Wild on Boxing Day.
