O’LEARY – The O’Leary Maroons played back-to-back close games in the P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League earlier this week.
The Maroons edged the Pownal Red Devils 3-2, and dropped a 1-0 decision to the North River Flames.
The Maroons’ next home game at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre is against the Central Attack on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Game time is 8:25 p.m.

At the Pownal Sports Centre, Jacob Gallant scored twice while Austin Banks had a goal and an assist for the Maroons. Brady Sweet and Tanner Gallant added single assists.
Nathan McInnis answered for Pownal.
The Maroons, who were outshot 26-14, led 2-0 after the first and second periods.
McGuire Gallant earned the goaltending win, and Brandon Barrett was between the pipes for Pownal.

At the O’Leary Community Sports Centre, Ethan Handregan set up Matt Lank with the game’s lone goal in the second period.
Jean-Luc Duguay earned a 12-save shutout while the Maroons’ McGuire Gallant faced 24 shots.
