O’LEARY – The O’Leary Maroons and Gulf Storm skated to a 5-5 tie in P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League play at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre on Wednesday night.
Jacob Gallant (2), Austin Arsenault, Brady Sweet and Remington Jones provided goals for the Maroons. Reece Arsenault (2), Morgan MacLeod (2), Shawn MacDonald (2), Charles Gallant, Nathan Grigg, Jaycob Sweet and Max MacIsaac added helpers.
Liam Arsenault’s three-goal effort sparked the Gulf Storm’s offence. Evan Morell and Caelan Campbell added single tallies, with assists going to Brandon McLeod (2), Campbell Mayne, Bailey Stavert, Jack Ellsworth, Luke Payne and Krystof Wigmore.
The Gulf Storm held period leads of 3-2 and 4-2.
Goaltenders were McGuire Gallant (Maroons) and Cameron Ralph (Gulf Storm). Overall, the Gulf Storm outshot O’Leary 27-22.
