SLEMON PARK – The Sherwood-Parkdale Metros stormed back in a big way Friday night.

The Metros scored five unanswered third-period goals to turn a 5-2 deficit after 40 minutes into a 7-5 win over the Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch. The win gives the Metros a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five semifinal series in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League. Sherwood-Parkdale can wrap up the series on home ice at the Cody Banks Arena on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
At The Plex, Owen Arsenault’s short-handed goal with 2:08 to go in regulation time gave the Metros a 6-5 lead, and Shawn Corney added an unassisted insurance goal – also short-handed – with 1:42 remaining to cap the comeback.
