BRIDGEPORT, CONN. – Summerside native Ryan MacKinnon had a successful debut in the American Hockey League (AHL) on Tuesday.
MacKinnon earned an assist to help the Bridgeport Sound Tigers defeat the Providence Bruins 3-2.
MacKinnon assisted on a goal by Kellen Jones at the two-minute mark of the third period, which gave the Sound Tigers a 2-1 lead.
MacKinnon played the 2017-18 with the UPEI Panthers of the Atlantic University Sport Men’s Hockey Conference, before joining the pro ranks.
