CORNWALL
Kings County Kings rode a pair of unanswered third period goals to a 3-2 come-from-behind win over the Mid Isle Matrix at the Cornwall APM Centre in P.E.I. Midget AAA action Tuesday night.
Jacob MacEachern with a goal and an assist and Riley Jamieson with two goals led the way. Ben Bruce got the goaltending win. Reid Peardon and Jack King also scored for the Kings who got single assists from Lucas MacAulay and Jesse McGrath.
The game was tied 1-1 after the first period and the Matrix, who were assessed 12 of the game’s 18 penalty minutes, were up 2-1 after the second.
Zac MacKay scored both Matrix goals. Assists wet to Nathan Mahar, Lucas Buch and Brett MacDonald.
