TIGNISH – The Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces will play for the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League championship.
Colton Chiasson’s goal at the four-minute mark of overtime lifted the Aces to a series-clinching 3-2 victory over the defending-champion Southside Lynx on Sunday night. The Aces swept the best-of-five semifinal series, which also included 7-4 and 4-3 wins.
Tignish will face the winner of the semifinal series between the Sherwood-Parkdale Metros and Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch. Sherwood-Parkdale took a 2-0 lead into Monday night’s Game 3 at the Cody Banks Arena.

The season, however, is not over for the Crapaud-based Lynx, who will host the Maritime Hockey North junior C championship at the South Shore Actiplex from April 4 to 8.
At the Tignish Credit Union Arena, the Aces led 1-0 after one period and 2-1 following 40 minutes.

Brandon Forstythe and Brydon Smith scored in regulation time for the Aces, who received single helpers from Brady Albert, Lexin Gaudet, Brayden Arsenault and Keaton Horne.
Affiliated player Blake VanderVelden and Cameron Nelson countered for the Lynx. Tyler Jurkowski chipped in with two assists.
Bradley Shea earned the goaltending win, and Sean MacPhee was between the pipes for Southside. Overall, the Aces held a 44-30 shots-on-goal advantage.
