Vincent Deslauriers scored three times, including once into an empty net, Friday as the host Baie-Comeau Drakkar defeated the Charlottetown Islanders 6-3 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Ivan Chekhovich, Shawn Element and Samuel Thibault added single goals.

The Islanders scored all three of its goals on the power play.

Filip Chlapik, Chris Chaddock and Cody Donaghey scored with assists to Guillaume Brisebois, Donaghey, Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Saku Vesterinen and Kameron Kielly.

Antoine Samuel made 27 saves for the win while Matthew Welsh stopped 28 shots in the loss.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first period while Baie-Comeau led 3-1 heading to the third.

The Islanders (7-4-1-0) conclude their road trip in Quebec in Chicoutimi today with a 5 p.m. Atlantic contest.
