SUMMERSIDE – It’s a big weekend for the Holland Hurricanes of the Eastern Canadian Women’s Hockey League.
The Hurricanes will host the University of New Brunswick in back-to-back games. The teams will face off at Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., before playing at Credit Union Place in Summerside on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
UNB enters weekend play undefeated at 6-0 (won-lost) while the Hurricanes are 3-3.
This will be the second pair of games between these two teams this season. UNB picked up 3-0 and 2-1 victories in Fredericton in November.
Hurricanes forward Sam Higgins leads the league with nine points in six games played while Jess Redmond, who has five points, is in third place in the league scoring race. UNB players Natalie Laplante, Kara MacDonald and Makayla Oatway sit in second and third in league scoring with six and five points.
