O’LEARY – Tanner Gallant scored twice while Max MacIsaac had a goal and an assist to pace the O’Leary Maroons past Kings County 5-2 on Wednesday night.
The O’Leary Community Sports Centre was the site of the P.E.I. Midget AA Hockey League contest.
Morgan MacLeod and Shawn MacDonald accounted for the other O’Leary goals. Single helpers were credited to Darcy Sherren, Nathan Grigg, Charles Gallant, Ben Cooke and Jacob Gallant.
For Kings County, Avery Reynolds and Jarrett Victor found the back of the net. Justin McCarthy added an assist.
The Maroons held period leads of 2-1 and 4-2.
McGuire Gallant earned the goaltending win. Cameron MacLennan tended goal for Kings County.
Kings County was assessed six minor penalties and one 10-minute misconduct. The Maroons were whistled for four minors and one double minor.
