O’LEARY – The Eastern Express scored two unanswered third-period goals to even the best-of-five semifinal series with the Prince County Warriors 1-1 on Friday night.

Seth MacLeod tied the game with 13:49 remaining, and Cole McKeigan’s marker with 2:56 to go proved to be the difference in Eastern’s 6-5 come-from-behind win. Game 3 in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League series is scheduled for the Pownal Sports Centre on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., with Game 4 back in O’Leary on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
At the O’Leary Community Sports Centre, the Warriors held period leads of 3-2 and 5-4.
MacLeod finished with two goals and an assist while McKeigan’s totals included one goal and two helpers. Jack Campbell (2) and Gavin Mason also scored for Eastern, which received assists from Gabe Hartlen (3), Holden Bradley (3), Aiden Arsenault and Avery Brown.
Sam Hackett led the Warriors with two goals and two assists. Max Chisholm also had a big game for the Warriors contributing four assists. Ethan Reilly (2-1) and Donovan Arsenault netted the other Prince County goals. Zach Biggar added a helper.
Drew Chapman was the winning goaltender. Aiden Williams was in goal for the Warriors.
