POWNAL – The Eastern Express has moved in front of the Prince County Warriors.
The Express posted a 5-1 home-ice win on Saturday afternoon to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five semifinal series in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League. The Warriors now face a must-win situation at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre in Game 4 on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

At the Pownal Sports Centre, Jack Campbell had two goals and an assist to spark the Express, who built period leads of 2-0 and 4-1. Seth MacLeod (1-1), Sam Worth and Sam Parsons also scored for the Express. Single helpers were credited to Gabe Hartlen, Lance Kennedy, Dylan Blackett, Avery Brown, JT Wood and Cole McKeigan.
Max Chisholm, assisted by Sam Hackett, netted the lone Warriors’ goal.
Drew Chapman earned the goaltending win. Turner Ellis was between the pipes for Prince County.
