What started out as a few males and females getting together at the Bedeque Area Recreation Centre to learn how to play hockey, has blossomed into three ice times and 60-plus members.
The program, which benefits from strong coaching, teaches skills and features drills in skating, passing, shooting, game play and positions, followed by a scrimmage for the remainder of the ice time.

Tournament
The program recently hosted their fourth annual tournament in Bedeque, and the Healthy Scratches won four out of five games to earn the honour to hoist the Donuts Cup.
