BATHURST, N.B. – Defenceman Noah Dobson’s outstanding season was recognized at the Acadie-Bathurst Titan’s awards night recently.

The Summerside native was named the Titan’s most valuable player, student of the year and the recipient of the fans choice award.
Forward Marc-Andre LeCouffe, who played with the Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals for the 2016-17 MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League), was presented with the volunteer committee perseverance award.
The 18-year-old Dobson recorded 69 points – 17 goals and 52 assists – in 67 regular-season games. He picked up 52 penalty minutes and finished with an impressive plus-33 rating.
Dobson is currently projected to be a first-round pick in June’s NHL Entry Draft.
LeCouffe had eight points – three goals and five assists – and 10 penalty minutes in 40 contests. He had 27 points the year before with the Caps.
