Hockey P.E.I. announced in a media release on Tuesday morning that the tournament will take place at MacLauchlan Arena on the UPEI campus from April 7 to 10.

“This will be a great week of hockey showcasing the top peewee teams in Atlantic Canada,” said host bid committee representative Brodie O’Keefe, who added the Charlottetown peewee AAA team and host committee are honoured to host the event. “We look forward to working with Hockey P.E.I., and the City of Charlottetown to put on a first-class event for everyone to enjoy”

The championship will include provincial champions from Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick; a provincial representative from P.E.I., and the host Abbies.

A selection committee comprised of members of the Hockey P.E.I. Minor Council reviewed the bid applications.

An event website and full schedule will be released at a later date.
