Charlottetown awarded Atlantic midget AAA female hockey championship

CHARLOTTETOWN – Hockey P.E.I. announced on Wednesday that the Central Storm will host the 2016 Atlantic midget AAA female hockey championship at MacLauchlan Arena in Charlottetown.

The five-team tournament, which will run from March 31 to April 3, will feature the host Storm, a provincial representative from P.E.I., and provincial champions of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Atlantic champion will advance to the 2016 Esso Cup national midget female hockey championship in Weyburn, Sask., from April 17 to 23.
