SUMMERSIDE – It’s shaping up to be a busy couple of weeks for Tenacity Hockey at Credit Union Place later this month.

The Summerside-based hockey school will be running a two-week camp from Aug. 13 to 17 and Aug. 20 to 24. These programs will offer full days for skills, novice, atom and peewee-aged players, as well as a weeklong goaltender program.
“We have a limited number of available spots in skills, and with having sold out we have started waiting lists for novice, atom and peewee goaltenders,” said co-owner and instructor Billy McGuigan, who is head coach of the Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals of the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League).
Anyone interested in one of the camps, or who would like to be added to a waiting list, can email [email protected].

Conditioning camp
Tenacity Hockey has also announced its popular conditioning camp for bantam and midget players is returning.
A total of 24 spots for players and four goaltenders are available per group. Interested participants are urged to register fast.
The conditioning camp offers four practices, two games and four off-ice training sessions during the two-week period of Aug. 13 to 24.
Coaches for the camp include McGuigan; pro hockey players Alex and Brett Gallant of Summerside; Kyle Dunn, head coach of the Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild of the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League and head coach of P.E.I. Canada Games’ men’s hockey team, and Eric Morency, goalie coach with the Western Capitals. McGuigan added guest coaches will be announced later.
The cost of the conditioning camp is $230, taxes included. To register, or for more information, email [email protected].
Tenacity Hockey is also looking to host camps in the fall and winter.
