BATHURST, N.B. – It was a big weekend for four Prince County players in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Moncton Wildcats forward Jeremy McKenna of Summerside scored once in a 4-3 loss to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on Friday night, and had a goal and two assists in a 6-3 setback to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Sunday afternoon.
In 30 regular-season games, McKenna has 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points.
Titan defenceman Noah Dobson of Summerside contributed a goal and an assist in Sunday’s win to improve his point total 28 – three goals and 25 assists – in 30 games.
Also Sunday, Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Bailey Webster of Kelvin Grove earned an assist in a 3-2 shootout win against the Quebec Remparts. Webster has one goal and five helpers for six points in 25 contests.
Friday night, Rimouski Oceanic forward Carson MacKinnon of Summerside earned two assists in a 6-4 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes. MacKinnon has 13 points – five goals and eight assists – in 29 games.
