KENSINGTON – Chad Arsenault capped a stellar regular-season rookie campaign in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League on Saturday night.

The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild goaltender from the Wellington area recorded the shutout in a 5-0 win over the visiting Fredericton Caps. The win improved Arsenault’s record to 16-1-1 (won-lost-overtime losses), with a goals-against average of 2.04 and a save percentage of over .930. It was also Arsenault's second shutout of the season.
The Wild completed regular-season play in second place at 26-7-2 (won-lost-overtime losses), good for 54 points. Kensington finished two points back of the first-place Moncton Flyers (27-6-2).

The Wild is expected to open the best-of-seven provincial major midget championship series against the Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride at Credit Union Centre in Kensington, previously Community Gardens, on Friday night.
Frank Fortin scored twice to lead the Wild against Fredericton. Thomas Rennie, Evan Gallant and Dixon MacLeod added single tallies, with helpers credited to Marc Richard (2), William Proud, Ryan Richards, Colby MacArthur, Bradley Campbell and Carter Cahill.
The Wild led 1-0 after one period, and 3-0 at the end of 40 minutes.
