The Aces will entertain the North River Flames in a Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League contest, which will get underway at 7:30 p.m.
The fifth-place Flames are 5-12-1 (won-lost-overtime losses), but have been playing good hockey of late. North River is coming off close losses of 5-3 to the first-place Southside Lynx (16-2-1), and a tough 8-7 setback to the Aces (12-6-1).
Tignish, meanwhile, is coming off an 8-7 win in Souris (4-14-0) and a 6-3 home-ice loss to the Belfast Sabres (14-5-0).
Hot hand
Tyne Valley native Connor Dillon has held a hot hand for the Aces recently. Dillon has 10 points in the last five games, and is tied for third in the league scoring race with 27 points. He is also tied for second in goals – 14 – with teammate Traven Gaudet.
The Aces are expected to ice a full lineup for the first time on Friday.
